The Stowe Balloon Festival is back for 2026! Hosted by Mountain View Vacations, we’re happy to announce that it is back for its second year! It has been the work of several years to organize and reimagine this hallmark Stowe event. Confirmed to take place June 26 – June 28, 2026, we will be celebrating the magic of Stowe, Vermont with a hot air balloon party!
As of 3/25/2026, we have received final town approval and the 2026 Stowe Hot Air Balloon Festival is officially taking flight! Plan your visit today. View accommodations here. We currently have over 35 confirmed vendors showcasing Vermont’s artisanal and culinary heritage, along with daily musical and family-friendly acts.
Featuring hot air balloon rides, tethered balloon rides, and a full slate of family-friendly activities including music, arts&crafts, food vendors and more, this is an all-ages celebration. Come to fly, come to enjoy the festive atmosphere, or come to go balloon chasing!

Charitable giving: A portion of profits from the Stowe Balloon Festival will be donated to local charities to support the vibrant Stowe community, specifically with the goal of aiding those who work and live here. Last year, our recipients were North Country Animal League and Stowe Youth Hockey. This year, we will continue to supporth Stowe Youth Hockey, and anticipate supporting several new groups as well.
